The SWOHGP covers portions of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 8th Ohio Congressional Districts. For more detailed information look at the map at the end of this page.

The Southwest Ohio Green PAC was begun as the Southwest Ohio Green Party in Cincinnati in 2000 and it has had an varied history since that time. Monthly meetings:

    Currently the Southwest Ohio Green PAC meets on the same night and in the same location as the Hamilton County Green Party. The PAC meets for dinner at 6:30 and the Party meeting starts at 7:30 . We send information out about the location and directions to persons on the SWOHGPac and Hamilton County Green Party list serves. If you are not on this list serve, please contact Gwen Marshall at swohgp@fuse.net or (513) 541-6978 to get the location of the meeting.

    We have traditionally been meeting in the evening on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, but are moving our meeting back one night in November to Tuesday, November 15th. The December meeting will be our annual holiday party on Tuesday, December 13th. We will return to our regular meeting schedule of 2nd Tuesdays in January, which would be January 10th, but may make a change in February to avoid being scheduled on Valentine’s Day.

    The 2nd Tuesday of November is election night so we hope that people will be attending an election night party, working for candidates or issues or at the Board of Election or other polling locations so we will move our monthly meeting back a week to Tuesday, November 15th. The November meeting will be held at1417 Bercliff Ave in Northside. The SWOHG PAC meeting starts at 6:30 with dinner and the Hamilton County Green Party meeting starts at 7:30. Everyone is welcome to attend both meetings.

    The December meetings will be held at the home of Eric and Kim Wise on Amazon Ave in Clifton on Tuesday, December 13th. Details will be sent to the SWOHGP and Hamilton County Green Party list serves later.

    Call 541-6978 for the location if you are not on the list serve and want to attend a meeting.

    The Green Party of Ohio is divided into regions for the purpose of establishing local activity. SWOHGP is no longer official member of the Green Party of Ohio. The Hamilton County Green Party is. The SWOHGP is an independent PAC (political action committee) that will continue to support Green Party activities. The GPO is affiliated with the Green Party U.S, formerly called the Association of State Green Parties. The links portion of our web page will take you to their web sites.

    The Southwest Ohio Green PAC supports the Green Party of Ohio efforts to focus the political power of the people to:

    • preserve and restore viable ecosystems,
    • establish social justice and equity;
    • foster participatory democracy;
    • promote and practice non-violence as a means of conflict resolution;
    • ensure the rights of a community-based economic system for all people.

      Further information on the general boundaries of the SW Ohio Green PAC activity

      Persons in the northern portion of Warren County (examples Franklin and Springboro) and the northeastern portion of Butler County (specifically Middletown) are geographically closer to the center of the West Central Ohio local Green Party based in Dayton so they should contact Logan Martinez at loganmartinez at hotmail.com or (937) 275-7259 for information.

      Currently there are no SWOHGP members in either Brown or Adams County and only a few members in Highland and Clinton County. There are several interested folks in Clermont County, but an organizer is needed to pull them together. Contact SWOHGP at fuse.net if you are interested in becoming a local organizer or if you just want to be added to the SWOHGP list serve.

      There have been Campus Greens, in our area (Miami University in Oxford, University of Cincinnati or Xavier University or the Clermont Branch of the University of Cincinnati) but their activity level is very variable, if you want to know about current activity, please contact SWOHGP at fuse.net or (513) 541-6978 directly if you want more information.
