Driving directions to the main Lobby of One Lytle Place and Parking:
If you Google Map - Third & pike streets, Cincinnati 45202 and then enlarge the map, you will see the driveway to One Lytle Place coming off of the south side of E. Third just to the West of Pike Street. This is both a drive way and it has a walkway next to it.
Directions supplied by Don:
Go east on Fifth Street, jogging to the right around Fountain Square and head in the right hand lane toward Columbia Parkway. Immediately after passing under the green Columbia Parkway sign turn right onto Pike Street. Keep to the left. Cars seeming to be headed toward you must stop; you do not need to. You will pass the Taft Museum on the left. At the end of Pike is a tunnel veering off to the right labeled One Lytle Place. Immediately after the tunnel on the right is the building. The entrance is on the far corner. There is an upper guest parking lot on the left and a lower one. They would prefer that you not turn left into the upper lot, but rather, go down a ramp to the lower parking lot, turn to the left and then back up a ramp to the upper lot on the same level as the entrance. As you pass the upper lot, check to see if there is an empty place on it. If there is no room on the upper lot, park on the lower.
Once inside the building:
A concierge inside the door will want you to sign in and give your license number and will direct you to the elevator. Don lives on the 12th floor, his apartment number is Apt.1209 at the end of the long hall. Call Don at home phone number 513-931-3459 and his cell # is 919-0263.
Walking or bus directions to One Lytle Place
You would want to approach One Lytle Place from its Northwest corner, on the north side of E. Mehring Way near its intersection with E. Pete Rose Way. If you are taking the bus, Bus Route #1 gets the closest to the intersection of E. Mehring Way and Pete Rose Way.
Unless you see someone to let you in, you will not be able to enter the building from the door on E. Mehring way, instead you will need to enter from the tunnel on E. Pete Rose Way, just to the east of the intersection of E. Pete Rose Way and E. Mehring Way. Once you enter that tunnel, there are some steep stairs that lead up a steep embankment to the sidewalk that runs from Pike Street and Lytle Park through the tunnel to One Lytle Place. At the top of the stairs, walk right on that sidewalk through the tunnel; one is walking toward the River. At the far end of the walkway are concrete steps to the right down to the flower garden area in front of the main entrance of One Lytle Place. Close to the building is an iron gate that is open and allows one to walk to the main entrance. People with a fob can stroke a light beam that unlocks the door. There is a concierge inside who will open the door. If no one is there, wait a short while and someone will appear to let you in. The concierge will ask you to sign a guest register and he can give you directions to the elevators. The apartment is on the 12th floor in #1209 at the end of the long hall.
